Product Description:
The DDC01.1-K050B-DS57-01-FW servo drive is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDC Digital Intelligent Servo Drives series. It converts fixed three-phase supply power into a modulated output that maintains precise motor speed and position for automated handling, packaging, and machining lines. The integrated power electronics regulate the voltage and current delivered to the connected motor as operating conditions change. Control logic processes motion commands and corrects deviations between the requested movement and the measured motor response. Combining power conversion, control logic, and feedback processing in one enclosure also reduces the amount of wiring required in multi-axis industrial cells.
The drive supplies a continuous output current of 50 A, allowing it to support steady motor loads without thermal derating. Heat is carried away through natural air convection, so no external fans are needed for normal cooling. Chassis fins guide ambient airflow across the internal heat sinks and help transfer heat away from the power electronics. Command and diagnostic data move over the SERCOS interface, allowing deterministic communication with a central motion controller. Rotor position is returned through digital servo feedback, enabling high-resolution velocity regulation, accurate positioning, and electronic gearing. The drive provides reduced noise emission at its rated current, making it suitable for installation near occupied assembly stations. Its closed-loop control can respond to changing loads while maintaining the commanded speed and position.
The unit belongs to the Digital Intelligent Servo Drive product group, which uses digital processing for current, velocity, and position control. The drive is Series 1 and Version 1, so its mounting points and connectors correspond to the first generation of DDC accessories. These product identifiers also indicate the applicable physical arrangement for integration with compatible system modules. Application behavior is set by function code version 01, which configures the internal control algorithms that coordinate the current loop with the communication layer. The control architecture processes feedback continuously and adjusts motor current to reduce motion error during acceleration, constant-speed operation, and deceleration. Diagnostic information can be transmitted to the motion controller over the communication network for centralized monitoring of drive status and operating conditions.
