The DDC01.1-K050B-DS55-00-FW servo drive is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDC Digital Intelligent Servo Drives series. As a digital intelligent servo drive, it combines rectification, inverter stages, and embedded control logic in a single housing to operate Indramat motors in automated assembly lines, packaging machinery, and material-handling cells. The unit processes real-time feedback from built-in digital encoders and modulates current so that commanded motion profiles are executed with high positional accuracy.
During operation, the drive receives power from a three-phase mains supply of 3 × AC 230 V, and its inverter can deliver a continuous motor phase current of 50 A. Thermal management relies on natural air convection, so no external fan or liquid circuit is required; the aluminum heat-sink channels guide rising air through the enclosure ribs. To protect internal circuitry, the drive declares an overvoltage fault at 475 V and disconnects the DC link when that limit is exceeded. For field diagnostics, a differential monitor provides an output of ±10 V proportional to selected internal variables, and the analog output can support a load of up to 4 mA without distortion. The control electronics receive power from a 24 V DC auxiliary supply connected through the machine control cabinet. The sealed enclosure carries an IP65 rating, protecting the internal components against dust and low-pressure water jets. Noise emission is reduced at the 50 A operating point to limit acoustic exposure on the factory floor.
Command and feedback signals are handled through the SERCOS interface, with telegrams routed to the numerical control through the IN 478 connector. The drive accepts a logic enable signal that draws 150 mA from the 24 V line, while the intermediate circuit trips at 200 V to prevent operation during an undervoltage condition. Digital servo feedback from the motor closes the position loop, allowing the controller to correct deviations between commanded and measured motion. The product is in Series 1 and Version 1, which identify its generation within the series.
