Product Description:
The DDC01.1-K050B-DS41-00-FW is a field-mountable drive unit produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDC Digital Intelligent Servo Drives series. Classified as a digital intelligent servo drive, it provides closed-loop control for brushless servo motors in automated production cells, pick-and-place axes, and material-handling stations. Its integrated SERCOS interface command module links the drive to higher-level motion controllers over a fiber-optic ring, allowing deterministic command exchange without additional gateway hardware. Its field-mountable housing allows installation close to the axis, which helps reduce motor cable length and keeps the drive near the machine section it controls.
This model delivers a continuous motor phase current of 50 A, which suits medium-frame servo motors that require high stall torque. It can sustain a continuous mechanical output of 4 kW, and a peak capability of 8.5 kW covers short acceleration periods before thermal limits apply. Internal dissipation is limited to 300 W, and the IGBT bridge switches at 16 kHz to reduce motor noise. The bleeder resistor handles regenerated energy with 0.25 kW continuous and 10 kW short-term capacity, while the intermediate circuit allows up to 4 kWs before that circuit activates. The unit accepts single-phase 230 V AC control power and three-phase 220 V AC mains power with a maximum connected load of 6 kVA, uses natural convection through the finned housing for cooling, and closes the position loop through digital servo feedback from the motor encoder. Noise emission is rated as reduced at the 50 A operating point, which helps limit audible switching noise near the machine.
No performance derating is required up to an installation altitude of 1000 m. The electronics are rated for ambient temperatures up to 55 °C, and the IP65 enclosure protects against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, allowing direct mounting on machine frames in exposed installation areas. The drive has a mass of 21 kg and is Series 1, Version 1.
