Bosch Rexroth Indramat's DDC01.1-K050B-DA02-00 is a single-axis drive unit from the DDC Digital Intelligent Servo Drives series. As a closed-loop servo drive, it regulates torque and speed for compatible Indramat motors in automated production lines, packaging stations, and material-handling cells. The integrated drive electronics eliminate the need for external amplifiers, while the sealed housing allows direct machine mounting and helps reduce cabinet space. In operation, the drive interprets motion commands, modulates motor current, and returns position feedback to the higher-level controller so axis response remains controlled during changing load conditions.
The drive accepts reference signals through an Analog Interface command module, so ±10 V velocity or torque setpoints can be processed without fieldbus hardware. Under continuous operation, it supplies 25 A to the motor windings, and heat is removed by natural convection. A sealed enclosure with an IP65 protection rating helps keep dust and low-pressure water jets away from internal components when the unit is mounted on the machine. Motor transistors switch at 16 kHz, which reduces audible noise and supports finer current control at low speeds. When excess kinetic energy returns from the motor, the internal bleeder resistor can dissipate 0.25 kW continuously to help stabilize the DC bus voltage.
Short deceleration peaks are absorbed by a bleeder capacity of 10 kW, giving the drive additional braking headroom during rapid stops. For brief torque surges, the inverter can deliver a peak current of 50 A before protective foldback occurs, which supports rapid acceleration over short intervals. Overall heat generation inside the drive is limited to 300 W of maximum power loss, which simplifies thermal planning for cabinet or machine mounting at ambient temperatures up to 45 °C. During repetitive braking cycles, the energy storage capacitors can accept up to 4 kWs, which reduces how often external braking components need to engage.
