The DDC01.1-K050A-RC01-01-FW is a digital intelligent servo drive produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the DDC Digital Intelligent Servo Drives series. Installed between a motion controller and an AC servo motor, it converts low-level command words from the INTERBUS-S interface into regulated three-phase power while using resolver feedback for closed-loop control. An air-cooled design and a 21 kg enclosure allow the drive to be mounted on machinery at elevations up to 1000 m and in ambient humidity as high as 95 percent without derating.

The power section supports a rated output of 50 A RMS, and the same 50 A value is available for short-term overloads during a 50 percent duty cycle. Continuous operation at lower demand is handled by a thermal limit current of 25 A. Pulse-width modulation is generated at 8 kHz, a frequency that reduces audible noise while maintaining current resolution. When the drive is fully loaded it can draw up to 6 kVA from the mains and will dissipate 500 W as heat, figures that dictate panel ventilation and cable sizing. These currents and switching rates are managed by forced air flow across internal heat sinks, ensuring silicon junction temperatures remain within safe margins.

Dynamic braking energy is handled by an integral bleeder that can absorb 10 kW in short bursts and remove 0.25 kW continuously, preventing DC-bus overvoltage when the motor decelerates. The capacitor bank can safely store up to 5 kWs of regenerated energy before the bleeder engages. An environmental protection rating of IP65 seals the housing against dust and water jets, so the drive can be mounted directly on moving machine axes without an additional cabinet.
