An internal bleeder resistor and onboard diagnostics support repetitive acceleration and deceleration cycles in industrial automation.
During continuous operation, the power section delivers an average motor phase current of 35 A, allowing it to operate compatible medium-frame servomotors without excessive heating. The DC bus is charged from a three-phase input of 3 × 230 V AC (+10%/-15%), allowing the drive to remain stable when the supply voltage drifts above or below its nominal level. To sustain a full mechanical load, the converter can draw up to 18 kVA from the supply, while its maximum internal power loss is 500 W. A continuous bleeder rating of 0.25 kW allows regenerated energy to be dissipated between operating cycles. The IGBT bridge switches at a carrier frequency of 8 kHz to reduce motor noise and provide precise current control.
During dynamic braking events, the bleeder provides a peak capacity of 20 kW, allowing the resistor network to absorb sudden energy surges without causing a DC-bus fault. For brief acceleration demands, the inverter can supply a peak motor current of 100 A, while its S6 duty rating permits 70 A for up to 100 seconds at a 50% duty cycle. The intermediate circuit can accept up to 10 kWs of regenerated energy before external braking equipment is needed. The enclosure carries an IP65 protection rating, so the drive can be mounted directly on a machine frame in dusty or splash-prone areas without a separate control cabinet.
