CSH02.1B-ET-EC-EM-NN-DA-NN-FW is a digital control section. It is one of the four components that make up Bosch IndraDrive controllers. The remaining three components include a power section, a control panel and a firmware. The power section provides DC power for the different electronic components. It accepts AC input, converts it to DC and supplies it to the control section basic unit and plug in modules. The control panel is a device that operators can use to configure and monitor the controller during operation. Bosch supplies standard and advanced control panels for CSH series control sections. The CSH02.1B-ET-EC-EM-NN-DA-NN-FW works only with standard control panels. Firmware is software that low-level control and hardware functionality. The installed firmware determines the available features. Bosch provides several firmware versions that support different options and are suited to different applications.

Upgrading firmware adds new features, help to resolve bugs and provides improved performance. The CSH02.1B-ET-EC-EM-NN-DA-NN-FW comes with three plug in modules that include one multi-encoder interface, one digital/analog I/O interface module and one encoder emulation module. The multi-encoder interface is compatible with several motor encoder founds on Bosch servo motors. Encoder emulation gives engineers the ability to test different scenarios without using actual hardware. The digital/analog I/O extension adds additional I/O to the control section, giving it the ability to handle a larger number of device and control equipment. The CSH02.1B-ET-EC-EM-NN-DA-NN-FW also supports Multi-Ethernet master communication. The control section and related equipment must be installed and operated by trained personnel who have read and understood the product documentation. Accessories approved by Bosch should be used with IndraDrive controllers.
