Product Description

CSH02.1B-CC-EC-EC-NN-EC-NN-FW is a modular control section. It has three slots for optional hardware modules and one slot for a safety module. All three slots on the control section feature multi-encoder modules. This is an encoder module that is designed for use with motor encoders with 5/12 Volts supply voltage. It works with encoders for MSK and MSM motors. It also works with sin-cos encoders with Hiperface and EnDat 2.1 interfaces, combined encoders with SSI and with resolvers. The control is without a safety module. However, operators can order one of the available safety modules and install it in the field. The available options for safety modules include Safe Torque Off, Safe Motion and Safe Motion Bus. Master communication supported by the CSH02.1B-CC-EC-EC-NN-EC-NN-FW is SERCOS III. This high-speed interface complies with Ethernet.

SERCOS III uses standard Ethernet twisted-pair cable for network communication. It supports maximum 100 Mbps data transfer rate. It supports full-duplex transmission: stations connected to the network can transmit and receive simultaneously. SERCOS supports multiple network topologies including ring, star and line. The major benefit of ring topology is redundancy: communication is not affected if a single network segment or network device fails. Devices can be removed from or added to SERCOS networks with interrupting communication. SERCOS III is backward compatible with previous versions of the protocol. It also supports diagnostic functions operators can use to troubleshoot problems. Bosch has designed the CSH02.1B-CC-EC-EC-NN-EC-NN-FW for single-axis applications. It belongs to the category of advanced control sections. Firmware for the unit must be ordered separately. To identify the installed firmware version, operators can refer to the firmware type plate that is attached to the control section.
