CSH01.2C-SE-EN2-NNN-CCD-S1-S-NN-FW is a digital control unit. It performs all processing functions for drive controllers from Bosch Rexroth’s IndraDrive product line. Bosch manufactures different types of control units. The CSH01.2C-SE-EN2-NNN-CCD-S1-S-NN-FW is an advanced control unit that is optimized for single axis applications. The control unit is configurable and works with a standard control panel. The control unit’s modular structure allows operators to install optional hardware modules. It comes equipped with an encoder EnDat 2.1 module, a cross communication module and a safety module. The safety module supports safety technology I/O, which refers to input/output modules that are designed to handle safety-related signals in industrial automation systems. These modules are specifically designed to ensure that safety-related signals are detected, processed, and acted upon in a way that minimizes the risk of injury or damage to equipment.

Safety technology I/O modules are typically used in safety-critical applications, such as those involving heavy machinery, robots, or hazardous materials. They are often used in conjunction with safety relays, safety controllers, or safety PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) to ensure that safety signals are properly detected and acted upon. The cross communication module features dual Ethernet-compliant interfaces. Master communication on the CSH01.2C-SE-EN2-NNN-CCD-S1-S-NN-FW is SERCOS, which is a high-speed serial communication protocol that support multiple network topologies. It uses fiber optic communication technology. The maximum tightening torque of the union nut at the coupling elements of the fiber optic cables is 0.6 Nm. The data rate and transmission power can be set via the serial interface X2 or with the control panel.
