Bosch Rexroth’s CSH control sections are designed for single-axis motion applications. They assure impressive precision, accuracy, and flexibility with several interfaces to aid application-specific use. Some applications of these devices include machine tools, food processing and packaging machines, and textile machines.

The CSH01.1C-SE-ENS-MEM-MD2-NN-S-NN-FW is an ADVANCED single-axis control section designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It permits the connection of encoders with a supply voltage rating of 12V via its standard encoder evaluation interface. Some of the suitable encoders for this interface are the MSK motor encoder, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with Hiperface, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, and the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with reference track. The control section also has a combined extension with Digital I/O Extension and SSI Encoder Evaluation. Its Digital I/O extension provides 16 inputs and 16 outputs, grouped as two input groups with eight inputs each and four output groups with four outputs each. The SSI encoder evaluation is for absolute position detection for different encoders with the SSI interface.

Sercos is used for communication between the CSH01.1C-SE-ENS-MEM-MD2-NN-S-NN-FW and other components of the system. It works with fiber optic cables to speed up information transfer and reduces the cost of installation by ensuring minimal wiring. This CSH model’s encoder emulation interface emulates galvanically isolated absolute value and incremental encoder signals. Its standard control panel is used to set the transmission power and field bus transmission rate of the sercos module, start the basic load defaults procedure and set the drive address. It has a single-line display where users can view the performance metrics and four keys for triggering simple commands.
