Bosch Rexroth manufactures products to solve automation challenges quickly, cost-effectively, and safely. One of its products is the IndraDrive drive controllers, composed of a power section and a control section. These parts are usually delivered as one package, but the control section can be purchased individually. The control sections can be BASIC UNIVERSAL, BASIC or ADVANCED, configurable or non-configurable, and single-axis or double-axis. They differ in performance, function, and configuration. The devices can be combined with various firmware versions and modules to meet different industrial tasks.

The CSH01.1C-PL-ENS-EN2-MD2-S1-S-NN-FW is an ADVANCED single-axis control unit. Its control communication is via the Parallel Interface, which is characterized by 16 reverse polarity-protected inputs and 16 short-circuit proof outputs. The Parallel Interface is also suitable for input/output extension in conjunction with IndraMotion MLD. Its power supply is via the terminal connectors 24V at the power section. This model has a standard encoder evaluation interface for encoder systems with a 12V supply voltage and another encoder evaluation interface for those with a 5V supply voltage. Additionally, a module for digital inputs/outputs combined with an SSI encoder evaluation is present.

Safety Technology I/O is the safety technology module of the CSH01.1C-PL-ENS-EN2-MD2-S1-S-NN-FW. It permits several application-related safety functions, including safety-related standstill, safety-related drive interlock, safety-related reduced speed, and safety-related direction of motion. This safety technology is in accordance with EN 13849-1 and EN 62061. The control section has a standard control panel with a single-line display that shows operating states, command and error diagnosis, and pending warnings. It is used to set the drive address, navigate the error memory, and initiate the basic load defaults procedure.
