The Bosch CSH01.1C-PB-EN2-MEM-MA1-S1-S-NN-FW is a control section with four optional modules. The safety module supports safety technology I/O. This safety option allows different safety functions including safety related drive interlock, safety related standstill, safety related direction of motion and safety related reduced speed. This safety option can only be used with an encoder. The physical connection for the safety module is a 9-pin female interface. The range of cross-sections used for the connection wire is 0.25 to 0.5 mm2.  An encoder EnDat 2.1 module is installed on the CSH01.1C-PB-EN2-MEM-MA1-S1-S-NN-FW. It works with encoders that operate at 5 Volts such as sin-cos encoder with sense lines, sin-cos encoders with reference track and square-wave encoders with reference track. You can use the encoder emulation module installed on the unit for emulation of absolute value and incremental position signals.
