The Bosch CSH01.1C-PB-EN1-NNN-MD2-L1-S-NN-FW is an advanced control section. The device firmware has to be ordered separately. Bosch develops multiple categories of control sections that differ in configurability, slots for optional modules and integrated I/Os. These control sections are components of IndraDrive controllers. These controllers are widely used for industrial applications that include mounting systems, handling systems, printing machines and food machines. These controllers are comprised of multiple components that include a control section, power section, firmware and a control panel. The CSH01.1C-PB-EN1-NNN-MD2-L1-S-NN-FW is compatible with only a standard control panel. This type of control panel needs to be connected to the CSH01.1C-PB-EN1-NNN-MD2-L1-S-NN-FW before the unit is switched on, otherwise it is not recognized. The safety module installed on the unit supports starting lockout that complies with stop category 0 as per EN 50204-1.

The CSH01.1C-PB-EN1-NNN-MD2-L1-S-NN-FW features a digital I/O extension module with SSI encoder interface. This module provides 16 digital inputs, 16 digital outputs and SSI encoder evaluation for absolute position detection for encoders that have a SSI interface. The digital inputs are divided into two groups with a separate supply for each group. The digital outputs are divided into four groups with a separate supply for each group. The CSH01.1C-PB-EN1-NNN-MD2-L1-S-NN-FW also features an encoder HSF / RSF module. The CSH01.1C-PB-EN1-NNN-MD2-L1-S-NN-FW supports Profibus master communication.
