Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the CSH01.1C-PB-EN1-EN2-MA1-NN-S-NN-FW motion and communication controller card, supplied as part of the CSH Advanced Controllers series. This plug-in unit expands an IndraDrive power section with centralized logic, fieldbus connectivity, and local analog I/O so that multiple drive axes or technology modules can be coordinated from the same slot. In automated cells, it links servo feedback, network messaging, and sensor signals to the drive firmware without an external PLC.

The controller exchanges cyclic and acyclic data over the PROFIBUS interface, allowing deterministic communication with higher-level controllers at the standard 12 Mbit/s bus rate. A built-in analog output of 5 V provides a reference channel for actuators or test points, while the unit sources up to 1 mA on that channel to drive high-impedance loads. Encoder Interface 1 accepts HSF / RSF signals, enabling connection of sinusoidal encoders with digital offset. Encoder Interface 2 supports EnDat 2.1 / 1 Vpp / TTL, so absolute or incremental feedback devices can be connected without additional interface modules. The analog I/O extension installed on this variant provides two differential inputs that exhibit an input resistance of 160 kOhm, protecting fragile sensor outputs from loading. Each channel is digitized with 12 bit resolution, giving 4096 discrete counts for closed-loop functions such as tension or pressure regulation. Startup current peaks reach 4 A, so supply breakers must be sized to tolerate the brief surge before the steady draw stabilizes. For timing-critical capture tasks, the card processes input pulses up to 100 ms wide, ensuring reliable recognition of slow proximity or cam signals.
