Such products can be found in the Rexroth IndraDrive drive system, a smart digital automation system designed for different kinds of single-axis and multi-axis motion control tasks. Some of the components of this drive system include motors, power sections, supply units, control sections, and more. A series of control sections found in this drive system is the CSH01.1C family of devices. They are configurable single-axis devices used for controlling and monitoring electric motors.

The CSH01.1C-NN-EN2-MEM-MA1-S2-S-NN-FW is a CSH01.1C model in the ADVANCED control section range. It is a high-performance control unit equipped with an encoder evaluation interface that is compatible with encoder systems such as the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1 interface and sense lines and the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with reference track. It also features an interface for the generation of emulated encoder signals without the need for an external power supply. To communicate with high-level control systems, it uses an analog I/O extension which works by increasing the number of analog channels.

Application-related safety functions can be implemented on the CSH01.1C-NN-EN2-MEM-MA1-S2-S-NN-FW with its Safe Motion safety module which has a SIL2/cat 3 PL d rating. These safety functions include safe maximum speed, safe direction, safe door locking, safe parking axis, and so on. It also uses a standard control panel that performs functions including setting the drive address, exploring the error memory and establishing the position data reference.
