The Rexroth IndraDrive CSH01.1C-ET-ENS-MA1-MD1-L2-S-NN-FW is a control section. A control section is plugged into the power section to make up a drive controller. Drive controllers are used to control motors and to make them move at precise angles and directions. Control sections are found in machinery used in food and beverage packaging, robotics, metalwork and metal fabrication etc. Control sections are usually supplied fitted with the power section, however, if it is supplied separately it will have to be plugged in vertically on top of the power section.  The recommendations and regulations surrounding the mounting of control sections need to be carefully followed. For example, to avoid damage by electrostatic charges, grounding of the exposed conductive electrical parts is necessary. The storage, transportation, operation and maintenance of components having control sections should be done following required safety procedures. This is to preclude the potential damage to the machine or risk of bodily harm to those operating the machinery.

The CSH01.1C-ET-ENS-MA1-MD1-L2-S-NN-FW has a configurable single-axis with a configuration slot safety technology. It has a RS232 serial interface in its X2 connector slot. It has a MultiEthernet master communication and an IndraDyn/Hiperface/1Vpp/TTL encoder in its X4 connector slot. It has an Analog I/O extension encoder in its X8 connector slot and a Digital I/O extension with SSI encoder interface in the X10 connector. It has a safe torque off (SIL3/ category 3) safety option and a standard control panel. The CSH01.1C-ET-ENS-MA1-MD1-L2-S-NN-FW has between 7 and 11 digital inputs with 24 Volts and current of 3 milliampere and between 0 and 4 digital outputs with 24 Volts and current of 0.5 Ampere.
