The Rexroth IndraDrive drive controllers are essentially made up of a power section and a control section. In general, drive controllers are used in performing single and multi-axis drive and control operations. Also, they are employed in the regulation and monitoring of motor operations. However, to perform application-specific functions, drive controllers require to be configured. Typical examples of their applications are machine tools, printing, and paper processing machinery, handling and mounting systems, and food and packaging machines.

The CSB01.1C-PB-ENS-ENS-L1-S-NN-FW is a configurable, single-axis control section in the BASIC UNIVERSAL range. It has a PROFIBUS interface that functions as a communication module. The inclusion of a standard encoder interface allows for the connection of various encoder systems with a supply voltage of 12 V. This includes the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with reference track, the sin-cos encoder (1Vpp) with Hiperface interface, and the encoder system of IndraDyn S motor. Also, it has a switching frequency of 2 kHz, 4 kHz, and 8 kHz and a current control cycle time of 125 microseconds. Furthermore, it uses a starting lockout as its safety technology.

The use of firmware is supported in the operation of the CSB01.1C-PB-ENS-ENS-L1-S-NN-FW control section, and it is to be ordered as a separate sub-unit. This control section is operated using a standard control panel that features a single-line display and four operator keys used to input commands. The standard control panel also helps to set the drive’s address, retrieve the device’s error memory, establish the analog output, and so on. Generally, Rexroth recommends that the standard control panel be connected before switching on the drive controller to prevent electronic damage.
