Product Description:
The Bosch Rexroth Indramat CSB02.5B-ET-EC-NN-S4-NN-NN-FW is a compact control section from the CSB Drive Controllers series. Paired with a power section, it manages servo axis velocity, torque, and functional safety in automated machinery. Within an automation cabinet, it interfaces directly with PLCs over its built-in Multi-Ethernet channel and translates network commands into real-time current and voltage signals. Its multi-encoder input supports accurate position feedback for packaging equipment, material-handling systems, and general motion applications.
The analog interface supports current signals of -20/4 to 20 mA, which allows the controller to read legacy process signals and send command currents to external devices. The loop load is 280 Ω, so connected transmitters see a predictable burden. For voltage-based motion commands, the section provides an output range of -10 to +10 V with a granularity of 6 mV/incr, which supports fine drive scaling. Dynamic response remains stable because the analog voltage path has a bandwidth of 1.3 kHz. A standard input logic window from -3 to 30 V also allows connection to a wide range of sensor types while the Multi-Ethernet port keeps digital commands synchronized with the analog channels.
Fast internal monitoring relies on probe pulses that are only 4 µs wide, so encoder edges can be captured with very little timing error. When discrete loads must be switched, the onboard relay can carry 1000 mA at up to 30 V, which provides isolated signaling for devices such as brakes or contactors. Safety functions follow the Safe Motion concept, and a dedicated output supplies 350 mA to external safety relays. The permissible cable length for the safety zone reaches 2500 m, which helps on large production lines, and the control section mates electrically with the HMU05 power module for closed-loop axis operation.
