The CSB02.5B-ET-EC-EP-NN-NN-NN-NW control section is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CSB Drive Controllers series. Designed to mate electrically and mechanically with an HMU05 power section, it supplies the logic necessary to drive servo axes in automated machinery. The module converts motion commands from a PLC into precise current or velocity references, supervises feedback through its multi-encoder interface, and coordinates fieldbus traffic so motors, sensors, and actuators remain synchronized during continuous production. Because the control and power functions are separated, this section handles command processing and feedback evaluation while the HMU05 section supplies motor power.

For local signaling and closed-loop tasks, the unit provides 2 analog outputs that are scaled at 24 mV/incr and refreshed every 750 µs. Eleven discrete channels accept position switches or limit sensors, and the controller recognizes a high state once the line reaches 15 V. Five of these lines can be reassigned as outputs, leaving 5 configurable digital I/O lines for mixed use, while another bank provides 11 digital inputs for fixed functions such as axis enable or fault reset.
