Product Description:
The CSB02.5B-ET-EC-EC-NN-NN-NN-FW is a programmable drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the CSB Drive Controllers series. It serves as the control section for HMU power modules and directs inverter functions for synchronous and induction motors in factory automation. By processing fieldbus data and encoder feedback, the unit coordinates speed, torque, and position loops so that connected axes follow motion commands issued by a PLC or supervisory computer. It also supplies low-level I/O handling for sensors and actuators mounted on the machine frame. This arrangement lets the control section manage axis behavior while the separate power module handles energy conversion.
Electrical service comes from a control rail of 24 VDC that keeps logic alive when the main inverter is de-energized. Electronics draw only 17 W at idle, easing cabinet ventilation. Two RJ45 sockets follow the IEEE 802.3 standard, and the 2 Ethernet ports carry Multi-Ethernet traffic in line or ring topologies. The unit offers 11 dedicated digital inputs for limit switches and fault signals, leaving the configurable pins available for other machine functions. Two probe inputs record precise position latches, and dual multi-encoder interfaces accept EnDat, Hiperface, or SSI feedback without external converters.
Signal conditioning is handled by three analog input channels, and the controller can retransmit values over two analog outputs for inverter or valve references. Five configurable digital lines provide auxiliary status or trigger functions, so application I/O can be mapped without expansion cards. When operating with position feedback, the encoder supply delivers 500 mA and a power budget of 6 W, enough for dual high-resolution sensors wired to the onboard 15-pin female D-Sub connector. For the power stage, the control section mates with the HMU05 inverter module through an internal backplane, completing the servo package for compact multi-axis machines. This layout allows motion feedback and local signal exchange to remain in the same control section.
