The CSB02.5B-ET-EC-CN-L3-NN-NN-NW controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the CSB Drive Controllers series. It forms the control section of a multi-axis drive set, coordinating velocity, position, and safety functions for the associated HMU05 inverter module. This arrangement keeps the power electronics in the separate inverter module while the controller handles motion logic and signal processing. Within an automation cell, it converts high-level commands from PLCs into precise internal setpoints, supervises feedback from multi-encoder devices, and triggers safe torque shutdown when required for repeatable motion on packaging lines, pick-and-place robots, and machining centers.

It offers 2 analog ±10 V outputs for speed or torque references to external actuators, and these channels can also mirror internal variables for diagnostic use. Eleven discrete command lines are accommodated through 11 digital inputs, while mixed-signal expansion is possible through 5 configurable digital I/O points. A regulated DC 24 V control supply powers the logic, encoder interface, and fieldbus circuitry independent of the mains, allowing state retention during power stage isolation.
