It serves as the command section for servo axes, translating motion instructions from PLCs into regulated current and voltage commands for the attached power stage. Because it handles the control section rather than switching motor power on its own, it fits modular drive systems that separate command electronics from the output stage. Inside automated machinery, it synchronizes positioning, speed, and integrated safety, acting as the link between higher-level logic and the electric motors that move the process.

To match cabinet power rails, the controller operates from a supply of DC 24 V. At this level, its internal electronics draw only 21.7 W, which helps keep the control-side power load modest. The I/O terminal strip provides 11 digital inputs that can recognize pulses as short as 1 ms, allowing quick response to discrete machine signals.
