The CSB02.1B-ET-EC-PB-S4-DA-NN-FW is a single-axis drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the CSB Drive Controllers series. It coordinates power electronics, feedback, and fieldbus communication so a servo or synchronous motor can be controlled precisely in automated machinery, packaging lines, or material-handling cells. By combining parameter storage, safety functions, and multiple network options in one compact housing, the unit helps streamline cabinet layout and supports straightforward system setup. This arrangement is useful in compact control cabinets where motion control, communication, and feedback handling need to be grouped in one place.
The controller samples analog references at up to 1.3 kHz, allowing tight current and velocity loops when external motion controllers send high-frequency setpoints. The unit has 2 analog outputs at ±10 V, and they can retransmit speed or torque values to supervisory devices. An internal axis count of 1 assigns the I/O resources to a single motor, which avoids cross-channel latency. Host connectivity is provided through a Multi-Ethernet interface that supports protocols such as EtherNet/IP and EtherCAT without hardware changes, while legacy PLCs can map commands to any of the controller’s 11 digital inputs. Resolver feedback is accepted at 8 kHz, and a multi-encoder port supplies incremental or absolute transducers with 5 V or 12 V excitation.
The encoder power budget reaches 6 W, which is sufficient for dual-head devices or multi-turn absolute encoders without an external supply. For plant networks built on PROFIBUS, an onboard repeater delivers 75 mA so long cable segments stay within signal limits. Integrated Safe Motion functions shut down torque when a guard is opened or a speed limit is exceeded, reducing the need for separate relays. Three optional slots accept I/O or communication cards, and five configurable DIO points allow machine-specific signal mapping at the controller. All electronics operate from a control section fed with 24 V DC, so control logic remains powered during mains dropouts for orderly fault handling.
