Product Description:
The CSB02.1B-ET-EC-PB-L3-EC-NN-FW is a single-axis drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the CSB Drive Controllers series. It manages torque, speed, and position loops for synchronous and asynchronous motors in automated machinery, linking power electronics with integrated motion logic. By coordinating encoder feedback, fieldbus communication, and safe shutdown channels, the unit provides a compact control layer that fits directly into modular production lines and packaging stations. It supplies regulated DC bus energy to the connected inverter stage and supervises peripheral devices through its dedicated I/O channels.
For local machine signals, the controller offers 11 digital inputs, 3 analog inputs, and 2 analog outputs, allowing direct connection of limit switches, potentiometric references, and actuator feedback without external modules. Two differential probe inputs handle edge capture for registration tasks, while a pair of encoder interfaces accepts incremental or absolute transducers and delivers 500 mA of 5 V supply current to the sensors. Functional safety is addressed by the integrated Safe Torque Off circuit, which is compliant with IEC 61131 Type 2 logic. When the STO channel is enabled, the unit can source up to 350 mA to downstream safety relays, reducing the need for separate power injectors and simplifying wiring.
Network connectivity includes Sercos III, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET IO, which are routed through two internal Ethernet hubs so cyclic data and diagnostics can share bandwidth with minimal latency. PROFIBUS support is provided on a dedicated 9-pin D-Sub female port; the medium uses RS485 signaling, and the onboard repeater can furnish 75 mA to extend segment length. Two Ethernet ports enable line or ring topologies, and the controller's capture circuits accommodate square-wave encoder streams up to 1000 kHz as well as sine-wave channels up to 400 kHz. These high cutoffs keep position resolution intact even at elevated motor speeds while probe inputs synchronize motion with external markers.
