Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the CSB02.1B-ET-EC-NN-SB-NN-NN-FW controller in the CSB Drive Controllers series. The unit serves as the control section for HCS or HMS power modules and governs servo axes in automated packaging, assembly, and forming equipment. It converts motion commands from a PLC into precise current setpoints, supervises feedback, and maintains synchronous speed, torque, and position. Its compact housing helps it fit in densely populated cabinets where deterministic response is required. This arrangement allows the control section and power section to operate as a coordinated axis package without adding unnecessary cabinet bulk.
The logic electronics draw power from a 24 VDC supply. Two analog monitor channels can source or sink ±10 V into loads of at least 2 kΩ. For binary signaling, the front panel provides 11 digital inputs, and machine builders can repurpose a further 5 configurable I/O points for status or command duties. A Multi-Encoder Interface can supply glass scales or resolvers directly, which supports closed-loop operation without a separate external supply module. Internal separation of the analog, digital, and encoder sections reduces crosstalk so signal quality remains stable in electrically noisy environments. This helps the controller process command, feedback, and diagnostic signals without unnecessary interference between circuits.
Network traffic is handled by a Multi-Ethernet port that complies with 100Base-TX and terminates on an RJ-45 8-pin connector, enabling real-time communication and diagnostics. Functional safety is integrated through the Safe Motion Bus, and standby consumption stays below 2.5 W. Matching encoder supply rails support mixed sensor topologies, so different feedback devices can be connected without additional interface hardware. The controller mates mechanically and electrically with HCS02, HCS03, HCS04, HMS01, and HMS02 power sections to form a compact axis package. This pairing reduces wiring complexity and simplifies system integration inside the control cabinet.
