The CSB02.1B-ET-EC-NN-S5-NN-NN-FW is a single-axis drive controller engineered by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CSB Drive Controllers series. The unit coordinates power modules, feedback devices, and fieldbus links so that servo or induction motors can be positioned and accelerated accurately inside automated assembly cells, packaging lines, and material-handling equipment. By integrating motion logic, encoder evaluation, and real-time communication in one housing, it streamlines cabinet layouts and reduces the need for separate PLC motion cards.
The analog section provides two command outputs. Each current-mode channel uses 11-bit resolution with 24 mV steps, while voltage mode uses a finer 13-bit word length. These signals are refreshed every 750 µs, giving the drive the bandwidth required for tight torque loops, and each channel can support an ohmic load of 2 kΩ without distortion. Setpoints or diagnostic data can also be delivered over the Multi-Ethernet interface, which lets the controller appear as an EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT node without hardware changes. This flexibility reduces spare-part counts across diverse machine platforms.
The I/O block is sized for mid-range machines: 11 digital inputs handle limit switches or home sensors, and five points can be configured as outputs for valves or contactors. An internal regulator supplies 500 mA at 5 V and another 500 mA at 12 V so incremental, sine-cosine, or EnDAT devices can be powered directly through the Multi-Encoder Interface. Network wiring uses an 8-pin RJ-45 jack that supports the 100Base-TX standard and cable runs up to 100 m. The controller also reports input states for PLC polling. The integrated Safe Motion package supervises velocity, standstill, and position to support category-oriented stop functions.
