Installed as the control section in modular automation systems, it supervises feedback conversion, I/O processing, and network communication for the power stages that energize servomotors. This device coordinates motion trajectories, enforces safety functions, and links the machine to higher-level PLCs through its integrated Ethernet ports.
The control board accepts ±10 V reference levels on its 3 differential analog inputs, so process variables from sensors or potentiometers can reach the drive without external scaling. Output feedback is available through 2 analog outputs, each quantized in steps of 24 mV/incr, giving fine resolution for monitoring loops or test benches. For fast on and off signaling, the unit provides 11 digital inputs that latch within microseconds, and a multi-encoder interface supports quadrature, EnDat, and SSI formats for precise position acquisition.
