Product Description:
The CSB02.1B-ET-EC-EP-S5-NN-NN-AW is a plug-in control section for the CSB Drive Controllers series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Installed beside a matching power module, it manages closed-loop servo operation, interprets fieldbus traffic, and executes drive-based safety functions used in automated assembly lines and process machines. Its architecture lets the machine PLC exchange real-time setpoints and status over Ethernet while the board processes local encoder feedback and I/O, so mechanical axes can be driven without a separate motion card.
An analog command channel on this model has a bandwidth of 1.3 kHz, allowing high-frequency velocity or torque references, and it accepts signals between ±10 V. Control electronics are supplied from a grounded DC 24 V feed and draw only 17 W at idle, which helps keep cabinet heat low. The controller has 11 digital inputs, and five of them can be configured as general-purpose I/O, letting it process limit switches, sensor flags, or handshaking bits. Two RJ-45 sockets provide independent Ethernet channels for connection to upper-level systems, and the board can evaluate two safe encoder sources so position data remains valid during safety-related stops.
Network flexibility comes from the integrated Multi-Ethernet interface that supports sercos III, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET IO without hardware changes. Inrush current stays below 5 A, so small cabinet power supplies are sufficient, and pulse outputs for step-direction applications can be generated with widths down to 1 ms. The onboard safety suite follows the Safe Motion S5 profile, enabling controlled stop and limited-speed modes. Three optional slots accommodate additional communication or encoder cards, while the controller mates with power sections HCS02, HCS03, HCS04, HMS01, HMS02 to scale output current for single-axis or multi-axis systems.
