The CSB02.1B-ET-EC-EP-S5-EC-NN-AW is a single-axis controller from Bosch Rexroth Indramat's CSB Drive Controllers series. The unit combines power electronics and control logic in one housing to command servo or induction motors in automated cells, packaging lines, and material-handling stations. An internal motion kernel handles position, velocity, and safety functions while the controller exchanges data with higher-level PLCs over integrated real-time networks.

Total control resources include 17 W of base power draw for the logic section. The front panel provides 11 digital inputs, three analog inputs, two analog outputs, five configurable digital I/O points, two current inputs for sensor shunts, and two probe inputs for position latching. A 500 mA digital output channel supports external brake or contactor control. For setup and diagnostics, the controller includes a 100Base-TX engineering port. Process data moves across dual fieldbus ports that support SERCOS III, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET IO, and an additional 1.1 W supply is available for external encoder loads so feedback devices do not burden the main logic rail.

Three modular bays with 3 optional slots accept technology or safety cards for application-specific expansion. Integrated safety uses a separate supply that draws only 2.5 W during Safe Motion monitoring, which helps keep auxiliary power demand low. Relay contacts rated at 1000 mA can switch clutches or external relays at up to 30 V DC when galvanic isolation is needed. The two fieldbus ports also support ring or line topologies, and the configurable digital I/O can handle local interlocks without requiring extra cabinet modules. Local signal processing can reduce the amount of wiring that must be routed through separate expansion hardware.
