The CSB02.1B-ET-EC-EP-S4-EC-NN-AW drive controller is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the CSB Drive Controllers series. Intended for multi-axis machinery, the device translates PLC commands into precise current and position signals for connected motors while simultaneously monitoring feedback and field sensors. By combining power processing, I/O handling, and certified safety in one housing, it serves as the central motion element in automated packaging, assembly, and handling cells. This arrangement lets one controller manage axis commands, signal evaluation, and safety reactions without requiring separate modules for each task.
The controller uses several signal groups to exchange data with peripheral hardware. It accepts 3 analog inputs for proportional values such as torque or temperature and provides 2 analog outputs for reference transmission to supervisory equipment. Discrete sensing is handled through 11 digital inputs, and five configurable digital terminals support custom handshake logic. The control electronics consume only 17 W at idle, which helps reduce heat inside the cabinet. All internal circuits are powered from a stable DC 24 V supply so motion can be brought to a controlled stop during mains loss.
