The CSB02.1B-ET-EC-EM-S4-NN-NN-FW drive controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CSB Drive Controllers series. Serving as the command section in servo inverter systems, it interprets feedback, executes axis commands, and exchanges process data with higher-level control layers in industrial automation cells. In this role, it handles signal-level coordination while the connected power section supplies the motor current and voltage used for motion. By separating signal processing from the power electronics, the unit enables compact cabinet layouts and simplifies maintenance on multi-axis machines such as packaging lines, pick-and-place gantries, and material-handling stations.

It supplies 2 analog outputs for reference generation or diagnostic signals, while the controller accepts 11 digital inputs for fast edge detection and another set of 5 user-configurable digital I/O lines that can be mapped to drive or safety functions. The controller also has 3 differential analog input channels, and each voltage channel on the X32 connector is sampled at a resolution of 14-bit. When commanded to source voltage, the X35 port outputs signals at a granularity of 24 mV per increment, and its current-measurement path presents 300 Ω of input resistance to preserve sensor scaling. This mix of I/O allows the controller to exchange status, process references, and local interlocks with surrounding machine devices.
