Product Description:
The CSB02.1B-ET-EC-EM-S4-DA-NN-NW drive controller is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the CSB Drive Controllers series. It is intended to govern servo or induction motors in industrial automation, combining axis regulation, encoder handling, and fieldbus networking inside a compact housing. By embedding motion functions at the drive level, the unit simplifies wiring and allows machine builders to scale performance without adding separate PLC hardware.
Its logic stage is supplied with DC 24 V, and the base electronics consume only 17 W when idle. The device controls 1 axis, an arrangement that fits standalone stations or modular multi-axis lines. A bank of 11 digital inputs records limit switches and fault contacts, while 3 analog inputs accept ±10 V or 0–20 mA process references. Five configurable digital I/O points can be switched between input and output operation, and the controller also includes analog outputs for external references or monitoring. Multi-Ethernet communication permits deterministic exchange with EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT masters.
The output stage provides 2 analog channels with a granularity of 24 mV/incr, suitable for speed demand or diagnostic feedback. Functional safety is supported through 2 In / 2 Out dedicated safety I/O paths, enabling STO and SS1 functions without external relays. A Multi-Encoder interface works with incremental and SSI feedback, and encoder emulation distributes position data to auxiliary devices. Separate encoder supplies can deliver 500 mA at 12 V and an equivalent current at 5 V. Two probe inputs latch position at sub-millisecond response for registration tasks, while the multi-encoder interface and configurable digital lines support mixed-sensor installations.
