Product Description:
The CSB02.1B-ET-EC-EM-NN-NN-NN-FW is a drive controller module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the CSB Drive Controllers series. Acting as the direct interface between motion-control software and the power stage of an automation axis, it interprets command data, supervises feedback channels, and issues real-time setpoints to the connected drive. In automated cells, packing lines, or material-handling stations, the unit coordinates axis movement, enforces safety limits, and links electrical drives to higher-level PLC networks.
Internally, the controller is designed for single-axis operation, so one power stage or servo motor is managed per electronics module. Its network layer is classified as Multi-Ethernet, allowing the same hardware to negotiate several industrial Ethernet variants without add-on cards. Position-feedback conversion relies on a resolution of 12-bit, which balances accuracy with processing latency. To preserve signal integrity, the encoder input presents 120 ohms of differential impedance, works with a nominal sine reference of 1.0 Vpp, and filters frequencies beyond the 400 kHz cutoff. The evaluation core receives up to 500 mA from the internal encoder supply rail, ensuring incremental and absolute sensors can be powered directly.
Additional I/O rails provide 5 V / 12 V to auxiliary electronics, and a dedicated driver supports RS-422 feedback streams up to 4 MHz for high-speed serial encoders. Field connections are handled through an 8-pin RJ-45 Ethernet port that carries Sercos III, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET IO; traffic is exchanged over the 100Base-TX IEEE 802.3u physical layer, and the link order is fixed as In X25 P1 to Out X24 P2 for deterministic daisy-chain topologies. With an unpacked mass of 0.480 kg, the module can be mounted on light control panels without adding significant load.
