Product Description:
The CSB02.1B-ET-EC-EC-SB-NN-NN-FW is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CSB Drive Controllers series. The module acts as the control section that coordinates servo drives through the power stages, translating network commands into synchronized motion. By integrating multi-protocol communication, local I/O processing, and encoder evaluation, the unit links the supervisory PLC to the motor, enabling closed-loop positioning, speed regulation, and safety functions in automated assembly lines, packaging machines, and material handling systems.
It consumes only 17 W of base power, so cabinet thermal loading stays minimal during idle operation. Control electronics are fed from a DC 24 V supply, isolating logic power from the higher-energy drive section. Eleven discrete inputs are available, and the group of 11 digital inputs allows direct connection of limit switches, sensors, and quick-stop buttons without expansion cards. Network access is provided through the Multi-Ethernet interface, giving the choice of Sercos III, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT without hardware changes. At start-up, the controller draws less than 5 A of inrush current, permitting use on 24 V control buses. Two analog outputs, three analog inputs, and two probe inputs support parameter capture and oscilloscope functions for drive adjustment.
Expansion is handled by 3 optional slots that accept add-on cards for extra fieldbus, memory, or feedback functions. Encoder data arrives through 2 × Multi-Encoder interfaces that auto-detect EnDat 2.2, SSI, or Hiperface formats, simplifying motor exchange. Integrated safety follows the Bosch Rexroth Safe Motion Bus concept, and when paired with certified sensors, the controller executes safe stop and safe limited speed without an external relay. The device also offers 5 configurable digital I/O lines that can be mapped as inputs or outputs, reducing wiring and allowing later signal changes through software.
