The CSB02.1B-ET-EC-EC-S4-DA-NN-NW is a control section released by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the modular CSB Drive Controllers series. Installed in combination with an HCS or HMS power section, it supervises current, velocity, and position loops for servo motors and actuators inside automated machines. By adding real-time fieldbus links and encoder processing to the drive stack, the unit acts as the communication and feedback hub that coordinates motion profiles with higher-level PLCs.

Two regulated encoder supplies deliver 500 mA at 12 V and 500 mA at 5 V, allowing mixed use of TTL or HTL feedback devices without external power supplies. The integrated 2 multi-encoder interfaces forward position data directly to the control algorithms, while the Multi-Ethernet backplane follows the IEEE 802.3u Fast Ethernet standard for deterministic telegram timing. Seventeen segregated input terminals, identified here as 17 digital inputs, accept limit switches, reference sensors, or safe stop commands so local logic can react without PLC latency. Two front-mounted RJ45 connectors create a dual-port switch, simplifying line or ring topologies when the device is daisy-chained inside a cabinet.

The diagnostic relay can switch loads up to 1000 mA, and the capture circuitry provides 2 probe inputs for edge-aligned position latching. Four analog outputs and five analog inputs let process values bypass digital conversions when required, and the digital output channel sources 500 mA for status lamps or interlocks. Integrated Safe Motion enables certified STO, SS1, and SBC functions without additional hardware, and network support for sercos III/EtherCAT/EtherNet/IP/PROFINET IO lets the same card fit diverse plant standards. The same control section is used with power sections HCS02, HCS03, HCS04, HMS01, and HMS02 across the complete IndraDrive platform.
