The CSB02.1B-ET-EC-EC-NN-DA-NN-FW is a compact drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the CSB Drive Controllers series. Installed between the machine control layer and servo power stages, it supervises motion, collects field signals, and forwards status data to higher-level PLCs and control systems. In industrial automation lines, it synchronizes axes, processes feedback from encoders or resolvers, and issues finely scaled analog or digital commands that close the control loop for positioning, speed, and torque tasks.
This controller integrates 6 digital inputs that accept 24 V logic for limit switches, sensors, or interlocks. Two additional inputs can be reassigned as 2 configurable digital I/O points when mixed-signal handling is needed. For actuator commands, it provides 2 analog outputs, and each channel is converted with a resolution of 24 mV per increment so the drive can deliver proportionate speed or torque references. Incoming analog tension or pressure signals are sampled at 14-bit resolution, and the differential inputs maintain signal fidelity through a current input resistance of 300 Ω. Two multi-encoder interfaces support incremental, absolute, or sine-cosine feedback devices, and an internal resolver driver excites sensor windings at 8 kHz to maintain rotor angle calculation during rapid motion.
Field connectivity is built around the controller’s Multi-Ethernet backplane, which auto-negotiates common real-time protocols and uses an RJ-45 (8-pin) connector that follows the 100Base-TX standard. Auxiliary feedback devices draw up to 500 mA at 12 V, with an identical current budget on the 5 V rail for low-level encoders. A plug-in digital and analog I/O extension board can be added when additional process contacts are required, allowing the unit to scale with machine complexity without changes to the central control design or cabinet layout.
