Product Description:
The CSB02.1B-ET-EC-CN-S5-NN-NN-FW is a single-axis drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the CSB Drive Controllers series. It serves as the command element between a motion control PLC and the power stage that drives servo or linear motors, consolidating feedback, fieldbus, and safety functions into one compact module for automated machinery. By integrating multi-network communication and onboard I/O, the unit simplifies cabinet wiring and shortens cycle times in packaging, printing, and material-handling cells.
At the hardware level, the controller draws a base power of 17 W, supplied through a regulated DC 24 V bus, so auxiliary supplies remain compact. The unit has 11 digital inputs that allow direct capture of limit sensors, while five selectable terminals can act as inputs or outputs. Two ±10 V analog channels deliver reference signals to legacy actuators, and two high-speed probe inputs latch position data synchronously with the Multi-Encoder Interface. The internal safety core executes Safe Motion S5 routines that meet stop-and-monitor requirements without external relays. For machine-wide coordination, the module offers Multi-Ethernet ports and a CANopen master that addresses up to 127 nodes, enabling mixed network topologies on the same rack.
Beneath the front cover, a CAT5e ITP link is presented on a shielded RJ-45, 8-pin socket that operates at 100Base-TX speed, minimizing latency between the drive and supervisory controllers. The controller has 3 optional slots reserved for additional I/O or feedback modules, so the base platform can adopt future fieldbus or sensor standards without replacing the entire controller. By keeping network and safety processing inside one compact housing, wiring density is reduced and integration time is shortened during machine build and service.
