Product Description:
The CSB02.1B-ET-EC-CN-S4-DA-NN-FW is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the CSB Drive Controllers series. Intended for multi-axis automation, the unit houses power electronics and motion logic in one enclosure, acting as the central regulator between an industrial network and connected motors. During operation, it issues torque, speed, and position commands while sampling feedback from encoders, coordinating machinery with the precision required in packaging, printing, and material-handling cells.
Signal processing capacity affects how many external devices the controller can supervise. It supports 5 analog inputs for sensors such as load cells, and 4 analog outputs that can drive proportional valves or reference channels. For discrete automation, it provides 7 configurable digital I/O points that can be assigned at runtime, in addition to 17 fixed digital inputs and 6 fixed digital outputs used for start, stop, or fault lines. Encoder feedback enters through the Multi-Encoder Interface, which accepts incremental, SSI, or EnDat transducers without extra hardware. Network access to higher-level PLCs is carried on the 100Base-TX physical layer, while protocol choice is handled by the Multi-Ethernet core. A dedicated CANopen fieldbus port remains available for legacy motion nodes, and the optional Digital/Analog I/O Extension increases capacity without changing cabinet width.
Safety and synchronization features are handled on separate channels. The controller offers 2 probe inputs for edge-triggered capture used in camming or metrology, while an equal number of safe inputs feed the certified logic that monitors STO or SS1 lines. The resulting acknowledgment is returned through twin safe outputs, each of which can supply up to 350 mA. All axis-related protective functions, including velocity and position monitoring, rely on the Safe Motion architecture, allowing Category 3 PL d targets to be reached without external relays.
