Product Description:
The Bosch Rexroth Indramat CSB02.1B-ET-EC-CN-NN-EM-NN-FW belongs to the CSB Drive Controllers series and functions as a modular control unit for servo axes in industrial automation. It coordinates motor power stages, fieldbus communication, and feedback processing, forming the command layer between motion logic in the PLC and the mechanical load. By combining Ethernet and CANopen interfaces on one board, the controller reduces cabinet wiring and supports compact multi-axis machine layouts without requiring separate communication modules.
On the CANopen side, the controller supports up to 127 nodes, allowing a large number of distributed devices on one bus segment. Line termination is handled by an internal resistor rated at 124 ohms, so the last station does not need an external terminating plug. Data is routed in a line topology, which helps keep branch lengths short and supports stable communication at the rated network speed. The Ethernet layer uses Multi-Ethernet, allowing the controller to work with different industrial Ethernet systems through the same hardware platform. Physical transmission follows IEEE 802.3 rules, so standard CAT-5e cabling and common Ethernet switches can be used. The unit does not include integrated safety technology, so external safety circuits must interrupt the power stage when required.
Protocol support also extends to motion networks, and the controller can operate with Sercos III, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET IO on the same platform. For EtherCAT wiring, the incoming master connection uses X25 P1, while the outgoing connection to the next node uses X24 P2, which keeps network routing clear inside the cabinet. Interface 4 provides encoder emulation pulses for legacy drive systems, and one encoder emulation axis is supported per controller. For shielded encoder cables, the permissible capacitance is limited to 60 pF/m, helping maintain reliable signal timing during high-speed interpolation and feedback processing.
