The CSB02.1A-ET-EC-PB-NN-NN-NN-AW is a compact drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the CSB Drive Controllers series. The unit acts as the central axis control and network gateway for servo drives, translating fieldbus commands into precise power-stage directives for industrial automation systems. By housing motion logic, encoder processing, and communication hardware in one module, it simplifies cabinet wiring and streamlines multi-axis coordination on assembly lines and material-handling equipment.
For power, the controller operates from a DC 24 V logic supply, and the input path limits switch-on surges to < 5 A, protecting fuses and upstream converters. During normal operation, it draws up to 18.1 W max, so heat dissipation requirements remain low for densely packed cabinets. Network traffic enters through an RJ-45 8-pin port that supports the 100Base-TX Ethernet layer. This physical layer is paired with a Multi-Ethernet protocol stack, so the same hardware can join EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or SERCOS III topologies without daughter cards. A D-Sub 9-pin female connector carries PROFIBUS-DP telegrams, maintaining compatibility with existing cell controllers.
Signal handling includes 7 digital inputs for limit switches or start commands, one configurable digital I/O line that can be mapped as an interrupt or status output, and two probe inputs that recognize edges with a pulse width of 1 ms. Analog feedback such as tension or pressure is accepted on the 1 x +/-10 V analog input. The integrated Multi-Encoder interface supports BiSS, EnDat, or resolver feedback, and its supply rail delivers 500 mA max from the 15-pin D-Sub female main encoder connector. Encoder values and drive status are forwarded to the selected network in real time.
