As a compact single-axis drive controller, it coordinates current, velocity, and position loops for servo or induction motors used in automated machinery, packaging lines, and material-handling cells. Through its integrated communication stack, the unit bridges fieldbus traffic with feedback data so that higher-level PLCs can issue motion commands and receive status information in real time.

An analog channel with a resolution of 14-bit is provided for speed or torque reference signals, while one analog voltage input allows a continuous command profile to be applied. Network connectivity is handled by Multi-Ethernet hardware, allowing transitions between EtherCAT, PROFINET, or SERCOS without changing the base module. The controller has 7 digital inputs for limit switches, homing sensors, or user interlocks.
