Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the CSB02.1A-ET-EC-EP-L3-NN-NN-FW in its CSB Drive Controllers series. This unit is a drive controller intended to manage closed-loop servo motion in industrial automation cells. It combines control electronics, fieldbus communication, and encoder supply so a single motor axis can be regulated for speed, position, and torque under PLC supervision. That arrangement lets the controller handle motion commands and feedback processing in one compact platform instead of relying on separate interface hardware.
The controller manages 1 axis, and command data reach the device over Multi-Ethernet links that support several industrial Ethernet topologies. Seven dedicated terminals serve as 7 digital inputs for limit switches or sensors that report machine states to the control loop. Analog feedback is handled through one ±10 V analog input, and an additional configurable digital I/O point can operate as either an input or an output. Motor position data pass through the Multi-Encoder Interface, while a front D-Sub feed supplies 500 mA at both 5 V and 12 V for incremental or absolute encoders. Two probe channels also support accurate position latching for applications such as print-mark detection without waiting for the main PLC scan to complete.
The base board includes 2 probe inputs and provides 2 optional slots for additional safety, I/O, or communication modules without increasing enclosure size. Integrated safety is provided through STO Safe Torque Off, which removes drive energy from the motor phases when a stop request occurs. Encoder cabling connects through a shared D-Sub 15-pin female connector used across the CSB family, which helps keep feedback wiring straightforward. Internal option slices draw little power, with the EC module using 1.1 W, the ET network front using 2.7 W, and the L3 leakage monitor using 1.0 W. Its Basic Scope interface classification fits machines that need coordinated motion control without advanced technology functions.
