As a plug-in module, it completes the control layer of an IndraDrive power stage. It executes axis command processing, fieldbus exchange, and real-time feedback handling for electric servo systems used in packaging lines, material-handling stations, and general automation.
Communication with higher-level PLCs is handled through the SERCOS II interface, allowing deterministic cyclic data transfer between the controller and the drive. The unit is powered from a DC 24 V control supply that keeps logic circuits active during mains drops. Three integrated I/O points give a combined count of 3, supporting fast local interlocking without extra terminal modules. During power-up, the electronics draw an inrush current of 4.5 A for an interval of 110 ms, so system fusing must tolerate this brief surge before the steady-state load resumes. Mechanical dimensions are 241 mm in height, 49.5 mm in width, and 103 mm in depth, enabling dense side-by-side mounting inside a control cabinet. Two identical encoder option slots accept IndraDyn, Hiperface, 1 Vpp sine-cosine, or TTL incremental feedback so the same card can be used with several motor families.
The digital output channel sources up to 500 mA, enough to drive contactors or signal lamps directly, while encoder supplies deliver 300 mA at an isolated DC 11.6 V to power external feedback transducers. One normally open relay contact on the board can switch auxiliary loads up to 1000 mA at a maximum of 30 V, providing galvanically isolated signaling for drive-ready or fault status. The module also routes a 1 N/O feedback path to field wiring without requiring external relays.
