The CSB01.1C-SE-ENS-EN2-L1-S-NN-FW drive controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the CSB Drive Controllers series. Mounted in an IndraDrive power section, the unit executes closed-loop regulation for a single servo axis used in gantries, presses, and packaging modules. The controller processes motion commands and evaluates encoder feedback inside the drive assembly, which helps keep axis response consistent during rapid cycle changes. It converts high-level motion commands from the master PLC into current, velocity, and position setpoints while monitoring field signals to keep the motor synchronized with the machine cycle on fast production lines.

It is specified for single-axis operation, so one controller directs one motor channel from the torque loop through interpolation. Real-time telegrams are exchanged over a fiber-optic ring to reduce ground-loop noise, and their structure conforms to IEC 61491 / EN 61491. The drive uses SERCOS II, giving deterministic update periods down to 250 µs. Primary feedback is accepted through a multifunction connector for IndraDyn, Hiperface, 1 Vpp, and 5 V TTL signals, so both absolute and incremental encoders can be connected without adapters. Integrated digital inputs and outputs allow machine switches and lamp signals to be connected directly at the controller.

Parameter storage is handled by a removable MultiMediaCard, so axis data can be retained on the card. Setup or trace capture can be performed through the built-in RS-232 service port, which provides local access without occupying the real-time bus. This local connection supports diagnostics when the real-time network must remain reserved for motion traffic. A secondary feedback channel is available through the option socket and supports EnDat 2.1, 1 Vpp, and 5 V TTL. A relay output is also integrated and can be assigned to drive-ready, fault, or brake control signals for straightforward interlocking.
