The CSB01.1C-SE-ENS-EN1-NN-S-NN-FW drive controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the CSB Drive Controllers series. Installed within an IndraDrive modular rack, it manages a servomotor axis and closes current, velocity, and position loops in real time as operating demands change. In industrial automation, the module links higher-level PLC motion commands to the connected motor so packaging, material-handling, and converting equipment can execute repeatable movements with short cycle times and consistent axis response.

Internally, the unit is configured for a single-axis topology and exchanges cyclic setpoints over the SERCOS II real-time bus. The optical backplane is carried by a fiber-optic link that follows the IEC 61491 / EN 61491 physical layer, giving deterministic 62.5 µs telegram cycles. Local process coupling is handled by integrated digital I/O and an onboard relay output, so the controller can exchange status and command signals with adjacent machine functions. Parameter data can be backed up or cloned through a MultiMediaCard. A front-mounted standard operator panel allows parameter viewing without a PC, while a separate RS-232 serial port supports setup or service with terminal software. No safety technology is included, so emergency-stop logic must be provided externally.

Its encoder socket accepts IndraDyn, Hiperface, 1 Vpp, and 5 V TTL feedback, letting the controller close position loops on different transducer formats. The option interface mates directly with MHD and MKD motors, and an expansion slot can add encoder emulation, analog I/O, or additional feedback channels when application requirements change. Motion projects are created and downloaded with the IndraWorks startup tool, which also supports parameter management and trace recording. Integrated diagnostics expose fiber signal quality, encoder status, and I/O state to the PLC without interrupting production.
