There are several state-of-the-art drive and motion control units in the Rexroth IndraDrive drive system. One of these is a drive controller with a control section and a power section, used to control electrical motors and monitor their operation. A control section series available with drive controllers in the drive system is the CSB01 series, created to be flexible for customized solutions.
The CSB01.1C-S3-ENS-EN2-L2-S-NN-FW is a control section model in the CSB01 series of the BASIC UNIVERSAL range by Bosch Rexroth. It is a configurable Version 1 model whose standard encoder evaluation interfaces support encoder systems with supply voltages of 5V and 12V. The encoders include the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with Hiperface, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with reference track, and the encoder system of the IndraDyn S MSK motors. SERCOS III, the Ethernet-based version of sercos II, is the control communication module of this control section, and it ensures highly precise motion control. It can be operated at varying pulse width modulation frequencies of up to 8kHz.
The Safe Torque Off module of the CSB01.1C-S3-ENS-EN2-L2-S-NN-FW has a rating of category 3 PL e/SIL 3. It prevents the motor connected to the drive controller from producing torque, ensuring its safe operation. A standard control panel with a single-line display is used for commissioning the control section. Its functions include setting the drive address and analog outputs, starting the basic load defaults procedure, and scanning through the error memory. The user-friendly IndraWorks software for PC is used to operate it remotely, and it supports firmware, which should be ordered as a separate component from Bosch Rexroth. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
