Safety-related requirements are handled through the integrated Safe Torque Off function, which is wired through a D-Sub 9-pin female connector on the front edge of the card. Encoder 1 supplies sensors with 11.6 V DC at up to 300 mA, while the HSF port sources 8 V DC for high-speed feedback chips. On the auxiliary channel, the board supports Resolver and HSF feedback; it excites the resolver winding with a carrier at 4 kHz and measures the 18.2 Vpp return signal to calculate shaft position. The separation of safety, primary feedback, auxiliary feedback, and service connections helps keep front-edge wiring organized inside the control cabinet.
