The CSB01.1C-S3-EN2-NNN-NN-S2-NN-FW belongs to the CSB Drive Controllers series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It is a compact control section that plugs into an IndraDrive power module to create a closed-loop servo or spindle axis. By processing position feedback, evaluating fieldbus telegrams, and issuing pulse-width commands to the inverter stage, it coordinates motion tasks such as indexing, synchronized camming, and electronic gearing in automated machinery and material-handling lines. This arrangement places the control electronics directly at the drive so axis commands can be handled within the same module assembly.
This control section is configured for a single-axis topology, so one drive power stack is managed without master-to-slave current sharing. Communication with the PLC occurs over SERCOS III, a deterministic Ethernet network that provides synchronized setpoint exchange and diagnostics. For position feedback, it presents a selectable EnDat 2.1 interface that supports absolute encoders with digital bidirectional data as well as analog sine-cosine inputs rated at 1 Vpp/5 V TTL. A bank of digital I/O is available to map limit switches, probe triggers, or user LEDs directly to the controller. The front panel also exposes a maintenance port using RS-232 for local setup and service access.
The unit comes without an optional function module, and the reserved expansion position is identified as slot 1 for additional fieldbus or safety I/O functions. Application parameters are stored on a removable MultiMediaCard, so setup data remains with the control section during service.
