The Bosch Rexroth Indramat CSB01.1C-PL-ENS-MA1-L2-S-NN-FW belongs to the CSB Drive Controllers series and supports a single-axis configuration with a parallel interface for master communication. It features two differential analog inputs and two analog outputs, both with ±10V range and 12-bit resolution. The controller offers 16 input and 16 output points via a D-Sub 37-pin connector and supports encoder interfaces such as IndraDyn S, HIPERFACE, and EnDat 2.1.
Internal Product Review
The CSB01.1C-PL-ENS-MA1-L2-S-NN-FW is a Bosch Rexroth Indramat CSB drive controller designed for single-axis operation with a Parallel Interface master communication link. Support for IndraDyn S, HIPERFACE, EnDat 2.1, 1 Vpp, and 5V-TTL encoder types pairs well with 12-bit analog I/O resolution for precise servo integration. Safe Torque Off and 16 In / 16 Out PL I/O give the controller an excellent balance of safety and practical machine connectivity.

Product Description:
The CSB01.1C-PL-ENS-MA1-L2-S-NN-FW is a control section in the CSB Drive Controllers series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Installed on an IndraDrive power module, it supervises one servo axis and translates motion commands into precise current and voltage references for the connected inverter stage. Within an automation line, the card links field-level analog or parallel setpoints to the drive, enabling synchronized positioning, speed regulation, and safe shutdown sequences for machinery such as pick-and-place gantries or forming presses.
The controller samples analog data at 12-bit resolution, yielding 4096 discrete values for each conversion. Two command inputs are wired as ±10 V differential pairs, a structure that tolerates common-mode noise and extends the signal window to ±10 volts. Because the channels are arranged as two differential inputs, reference ground currents are isolated from sensor lines. Matched outputs deliver the same span, and the module provides two analog outputs in total. Configuration is fixed as single-axis, so all regulators, monitoring circuits, and diagnostic flags address one motor only. Sensors that require excitation are supplied with up to 500 mA of encoder current drawn from the internal power rail.
That rail is held at 11.6 VDC, a level compatible with IndraDyn S, HIPERFACE, EnDat 2.1, 1 Vpp, and 5 V-TTL encoder formats supported by the module. Discrete process signals share the X15, D-Sub 37-Pin plug, where the card presents 16 In / 16 Out lines for limit switches, drive-ready contacts, or user flags. Functional safety is delivered through Safe Torque Off, removing gate power within microseconds when a risk condition is detected. The STO circuit accepts a 24 V / 3 mA control input and reports the acknowledge state via a 24 VDC, 1 A contact on the X41 D-Sub 9 connector, completing the secure shutdown path without external relays.
