The CSB01.1C-NN-ENS-NNN-L2-S-NN-FW is a single-axis control unit manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CSB Drive Controllers series. Installed in front-end slots of a drive rack, it interprets encoder feedback, evaluates I/O, and transmits real-time setpoints to the corresponding power module so a motor can follow programmed motion profiles. Through this role, it links field sensors and higher-level PLCs, allowing precise positioning, speed regulation, and torque shutdown in automated production cells.

The unit supervises one axis while drawing only 8 W of base power, which helps keep cabinet thermal load low. Five dedicated inputs accept 24 V control signals. The unit also has 5 high-speed channels and three configurable lines that can act as either inputs or outputs. A transistor stage provides a digital output rated at 24 V DC, 0.5 A for solenoids or indicator lamps. For feedback, the card supports IndraDyn, HIPERFACE, and 1 Vpp encoders, and the sensor supply provides up to 300 mA at a stabilized 11.6 V DC. During power-up, the circuitry has an inrush current of 4.5 A, so upstream protection devices must tolerate this short surge. Input filtering can use a maximum pulse width of 110 ms. Control-network communication ports are left unpopulated, and the second option slot is not equipped.

Relay circuitry rated at 24 V DC, 1 A provides isolated contact closure for interlocks or coolant valves, while transistor outputs can switch at up to 8 kHz to drive high-resolution pulse signals. Functional safety is integrated through the certified Safe Torque Off channel, which removes drive energy without delay when a fault is detected. The module exchanges diagnostic data and parameter sets over an RS232 serial interface. Its single-axis layout also includes three shared I/O points and a fieldbus port that is not equipped.
